Fire safety training for employees: what it should include
Knowledge4 min read
What Polish law says about fire safety training for employees, what is worth practising and how to add fire extinguisher practice without real fire.

At the beginning of 2025, we had the pleasure of sending a VR headset with access to our fire safety training applications to Waldemar Pruss, a former fire officer, the current editor-in-chief of Strażacki.pl and the author of the book Strażak. Życie w ciągłej akcji (“Firefighter: Life in Constant Action”).
At first, Waldemar Pruss was skeptical about using VR technology in fire prevention training. To address his concerns, several members of our team met him to explain how our applications work and how volunteer and professional fire departments, as well as companies and institutions, already use our VR solutions.
During the meeting, we talked about our company’s background, including the fact that some of our founders served as firefighters. The idea for our VR training applications came from real experience in fire safety training and from the lack of realistic, immersive tools that show fire hazards in a safe virtual environment.
To give him hands-on experience, we sent Waldemar a Meta Quest VR headset with full access to our training applications. We especially recommended scenarios such as the Jump Cushion jump and escaping from a burning building: realistic simulations that prepare users for emergencies.
